You are talking about My Baby 2 ds right? lol personally I alway's thought it was cute when my virtual toddler was talking. You could try giving him/her a nap to calm down your virtual toddler.

It should work. Okay...um first go to "my albums" then it'll ask you to log in then it'll say "add a picture" click on that box then it will ask your toddler's name & his/her code then click on "Okay pink button" then it'll show you your toddler on the right side of the computer screen & the clothing & backgrounds on the left side of the computer screen then browse through the clothes & backgrounds until you find the clothing outfit & background you want your toddler to wear & click register then you'll see your toddler pic's & month of how old he/she is.
I'm notting meaning this mean but I know it work's because I've done this exact same thing at least a million times by now. Personally I'm burnt out on enter to many more codes for a while at least.
Cool! I've never done a surprise baby yet. lol alway had fun picking the combination's. Eventually going to try the surprise button for the surprise baby though.

My baby dropped there water in the game lolol! it was a glitch a hard one you go to credits then press the buttons you use to reset game and then go to feeding give them water and they drop it! loloool and i dropped my water at the same time!!!
